    Hiya,

my ixus took a small bump onto a hard floor (2ft drop). Only visible damage is 2 small scratches.
Pics have been off focus since. (I need to fully test it to confirm this is the case)

I just bought it from pixmania the other week. Do you think the canon warranty will cover it? Or am I possibly looking at an expensive repair?
    How should I approach this?

everything sounds and looks ok on the camera.

    Any advice appreciated.

    -Worried canon owner

on another note - the camera is great. Really good shots (before this)
But jaysis it's like tryin to hold a bar of soap! they should put some grips on these compacts.

Warranties do not cover accidental damage unfortunately. It has to be an intrinsic fault of the camera.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help - if you want to get it fixed they are under no legal obligation to do it for free. There are various illegal ways of trying to get it fixed for free though (while I heartly disapprove of).

You could try appealing to their better nature/humanity?
