Possible Lecturing Interview: Help!

I'm applying for a Physics lecturing position. I have a PhD and a couple of years postdoc with plenty of decent papers, and I've taught in a secondary school for a few months. Anyone got any advice for me for a potential interview? Is it better to weigh on my research experience or try to get the job based on teaching. Which are they looking for more, a great researcher or a great teacher? Any pointers appreciated!

Depends on the job and the institution. An IT, for example, would weight teaching a bit higher since that would be your primary responsibility. Any lecturing position, of course, will mean teaching is important but always emphasize your research experience as well!

Check the job description and the departmental research record try to gauge what's expected of you.
