I recently bought a external drive (500G) that I need to back up some files from an older hard-drive (200G) that is now in my computer set up as the slave drive.

However, when I plug in the new 500G external drive the computer freezes and wont respond. I have tried the external on other computers and it works perfectly. In fact, it work on my computer until I installed the older 200G drive.

Does anyone know why the drives wont work together. I really need to fix this problem urgently, as I need to transfer these files to my new drive ASAP!
