I want to set up a home network, but never done it before so I need some advice. My connections will be :

    1. Dell Dimension pc running XP
    2. Iqon pc running XP
    3. Dell XPS 1710 WI-FI enabled laptop running vista.
    4. JVC DD3 home theatre system with network capabilities (ethernet port) for streaming video.

I have Irish Broadband breeze 2gb wireless internet running into a Netgear Blueface VIOP router.
I dont mind using a usb adaptor with the laptop if it means a better connection.

    Cheers

what is the network going to be used for? How much traffic do you expect there to be between the pcs?

2 computers and laptop - internet and e-mail
1 computer 1 laptop - tranferring large media files
JVC DD3 - Streaming large video files and mp3's

also might be networking a printer with 1 pc and the laptop.
