Have been looking into these myself and have checked nearly everywhere bar Tesco's, Harvey Norman and Xtravision

Virgin had quite a good deal

DS Lite with an accessories set (The Simpsons) and then any chart game for €175

Or choice of 2 games from 4 (Brain training ones and then Sonic Rush)for €150 - the accessories set was €25

Argos had a similar offer to the above as well.

If anyone knows what Xtravision is like on prices for them would be interested as none that near to me.

I got my first ds in argos, i think it was like €120? Then that got stolen, and I got another one at Gamestop which had the best deal at the time. It was second-hand, but perfect and I got lots of extras. I can't remember how much it was, it could have been under a hundred. I don't know if they still do that deal or not, but after looking in every shop I knew that sells em, they had the best price.

I'm looking into buying one for the girlfriend for Christmas.

If i bought one in the states would there be issues with playing games i buy over here?

    I'm assuming yes......

Nope, region free actually. You'd have to buy a new charger for here though

I am just after getting DS in the states. But I am wondering where the best/cheapest place to buy games is on or offline. Cheers

We just - like within the last hour - picked up two different ds deals in the Virgin store in Blanchardstown.

    We got .. a black ds with two games - fantastic 4 & rayman - for 150

And we got a white ds with Super mario bros, and the simpson accessory pack for 175.

Considering the unit was running at 150 alone in game we are well pleased.

of course we are now left with an accessory set we didnt want so I guess I will have to search the boards for a buy and sell spot.

Virgin had the 150 deal with a good choice of games, and the 175 deal was any chart game so I think they were both good offers.

Did you notice if they had Brain Training? They had a €150 offer of DS + BT last week but took it down as they were out of stock on the BT.
