    Hi Folks,

A group of friends are heading to Andorra (Pas Del La Cassa) at the end of Jan 2008, trying to keep the costs down as much as possible.

We have booked everything bar the Ski Lift Pass as they wanted €175 for each pass, do you think we can get a better deal in Andorra or would we have an option of a day pass or pay as you go like pass.

Thanks in Advance for any help

    Earlsie

Just did a quick search for you

5 people for 3 days = Package Total £377 which by xe.com works out as €526.908 or €105 each

    Hope this helps?

Its almost always cheaper to buy the lift pass in resort, (as opposed to from the travel agent). There is also a much greater choice of pass types, you can "buy" points which are deducted electronically when you use lifts. These are particularly suitable for beginners, lower shorter lifts will only "cost" a fraction of the higher longer ones. The lift pass sold by the travel agent will cover all lifts for (usually) 6 days, whether you use them or not. If you are planning a day off from the slopes you will be paying nevertheless. In my experience there are always some in a group that will want a day off. Although the passes are not officially transferable there is no way of telling if the user is the same from day to day. The most economic way to do it is to buy a mixture of 5 or 6 day passes and some points passes. Mix and match these depending on whose skiing and where their skiing on any given day. Substantial savings can be made in this way!
