Another annoying question...... is it better to start off limit, pot limit or no limit in cash?

in Dublin you will generally only get Pot Limit. No Limit is rare and invariably bigger

Haha stupid me..online its really up to you, you will have more NL games available and micro stakes and low stakes are easy places to learn any game, NL or Pot Limit. I have never played limit except by mistake in a tournament so i cant comment on that.

As well as sitting down with 100BBs, you will also need to have enough in your roll to account for varience. to sit in a .25/.50 game you will need $50, and you will want 10-20x this in your account

I did a challenge a few years ago where i went through all of the micro levels up to 1/2 NL. It was heartbreakingly tiresome but .10/.25 was a bit of a pain for me so after a few hundred hands i just skipped it to .25/.50. I dont know why but i didnt like the fact that the SB wasnt half the BB. So you should either drop back or move on to .25/.50!!

Would this be for some1 who plays like 8hrs a day, or for anyone?

I am getting a sense you have not been playing very long poker..
I therefore suggest you stay well clear of cash games and opt for low buyin STT's instead.
Tell the lads here a bit of your history (how long have you been playing) what your bank roll is, if you have any stats on your play and they will be a world of help to you.

Ok. I've been playin a few months really. Started playing a year ago but only seriously in the last 4 months. Mostly sit and goes online and maybe once a week live. I've $200 in stars at the minute and im tryin to work out wot is best for me to make a bit of profit. Not a living, but also not a loss of course. I bought pokertracker and have been usin it for a week or so (still no nidea how to get the stats from it yet)

Thats the story so far. any comments greatly received :)

With a $200 BR you really coudnt play cash safely for more than 5c / 10c as that is equal to 20 buyins. So you are either going to need to pump in more cash or sit at that level until you can move up to 10 / 20 and so on and so forth..
I dont use it but I have heard that poker tracker is probably one of the best albeit complicated, but if you are serious about the game then learn how to read it and use it.
