    Lads
I was just down in the new skatepark in swords and this chap came up to me.
He said he was from the green party and was looking for suggestions to improve the youth facilities in the area Swords, Donabate, Portrane and Lusk.

Any suggestions about new swimming pools, BMX tracks, skateparks, or anything of the likes of them just email to:
    falken@eircom.net
His name is Ken Duff and he is not the youngest, so be a bit patient when he doesn't know what "grinds" or "dirt jumps" are :D.
Even if nothing is going to be done about it, it can be no harm letting him know what the youth thinks.

    What do you guys think?

He's definitly showing his age talking about BMX tracks.....at least he's trying and open to suggestions.
I'd personally love to have a somwwhat decent BMX track, it might be old school but it sure is fun racing your friends.

Bmx racing will soon be in the olympic games weather you like it or not and it would be good too see some tracks popping up again,so maybe sometime in the future we will have an Irish bmx racing team.We allready have an Irish downhill mountainbiking team,so why not bmx racing.

I just got an Email from Ken:

I was considering setting up a youth subcommittee on the Swords Community Council to act as a liaison group with the youth of Swords. I would interested in your feedback on this and suggested names who would be interested in going on such a committee.
    Regards
    Ken Duffy
    Green Party

    Any volunteers email to falken@eircom.net

Lads, how about a dirt (or maybe astro) racing track for radio controlled monster trucks/buggies/truggies?

i no its asking a lot but what do us think of a cable park on malahide estuary? it has been tried about 10 years ago but times have changed.. it costs about the same as a skate park but would benifit a broader community.

^ The estuary is not very big but that sounds like a really cool idea!!

Though it might interfere a bit with the windsurfers and sailors there...
