When will there be a new style driving licence

15-11-2007 12:13pm#1I just got back from Vegas, it was a pain in the arse trying to use my grubby 9 year old Irish Driving Licence as ID in the casino. Some dealers and floor managers would accept it without batting an eyelid, others would look at it like I'd just handed them a used snot rag.
Anyone have an idea when the driving licence will be updated to a credit card style? I'm sure I wouldn't have had any problems with one of those.
Didn't have any problem renting a car with it though, mmm Shelby GT
