    Hey all,

    I see a number of threads advertising golf lessons and asking about them for xmas gifts.

    As someone who has never had lessons I was thinking about paying for a few? Just wondering who here has actually had golf lessons, how many you have had, where, and what you thought of them? Could use a template e.g.

    How many lessons have you had:
    Where:
    How much:
    Pro's(e.g what did you learn):
    Con's(e.g too expensive):
    Other comments:

    Cheers,

    Stooge

    There was a thread on this subject that has disappeared ! I have been playing for 30 odd years and only ever had a few official lessons.

    Lessons tend to be anything from 25 euro upwards and expect to pay 40-50 with DVD's etc.

    The best thing I learned from lessons was to change my Grip !

    Heres a link to Ireland Progolf.com where you can search for a professional. Call into any golf club or range and ask the local profesional for advise

    That link above is so out of date it's not even close to being accurate.

    What to look for?

    Is the Pro a PGA qualified pro (THE industry standard)
    Are they based in a club?
    How do they teach?

    What part of the country are you in??
