I have been invited to wedding taking place right after Christmas. The "what to wear" panic has already set in! Anyone have any ideas as to what would be appropriate to wear - I don't want to turn up in a flowery halter neck with strappy sandels on a cold January day!!

I know its probably a very vague qs. but I haven't a clue where to even begin. I'm probably leaning towards a dress. Any would be stylists with ideas out there!!

Edit: yes, I know it's not very helpful

Are you actually going to be outside much throughout the day that you've to worry bout being cold? Wear a normal dress that you'd wear to any wedding, add a warm shrug to it to make it a bit wintery, or wear something darker browns, reds, there's lots of christmas party dresses out there at the moment!

There's some beautiful dresses in Monsoon at the moment, some lovely black/grey ones! www.monsoon.co.uk

I'm also going to a wedding just before Xmas.

    1. I hate strappy sandals and never wear them, so that's not an issue. A nice pair of peep-toe platforms will look good at this time of year.

    2. I plan on wearing a strapless prom dress and wearing a nice coat over it. I'll also plan on getting a wrap or shrug of some form just to keep my shoulders warm until the dancing takes over.

The church is right beside the sea - we'll all probably be swept away in wind & rain and will look like drowned rats inside the church!!!

I'll take alook in Monsoon this wkend to get some ideas.

There is loads of gorgeous dresses in warehouse at the moment, you could wear a dress like this and wear a long sleeved top underneath like a polo jumper or something.
