Which Linksys WRT54G to buy?

I've got Vista, XP & am trying Ubuntu on 2 Windows desktops. Also, I've a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet which, I understand, runs a version of Linux.

I've got 1mb broadband from UTV, who supplied a BT Voyager wired modem.

I'd like to go wireless. The WRT54G is highly recommended.

Could someone advise me, please, which of the following would be best to buy?:

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/kcp.aspx?sku=306149&sku=306148&sku=306149&sku=306148&sku=314078

My instinct is to get the cheapest E59.00 one.

    Thanks.

Go for the €67 as that's the explicitly Linux based one, not the later models which changed to VXworks as the firmware.

    Thank you for rapid response.

While I hope to switch entirely to Linux sometime in the future, for the moment I depend entirely on Windows for vital stuff.

Do you think the Linux WRT54GL EU €67.00 would handle transmissions to a Windows PC ok? And could the WRT54G EU €59.00 transmit successfully to a Linux based device?

What I mean is, would each of them transmit a signal that could be read by either a Linux or Windows based device?

The router is entirely OS independent. What Spear means is that the firmware (the software that runs the router) is actually linux based. It also allows the user to install third party (i.e. not from Linksys) firmware. Read the WRT54G wiki page for more info.

Regardless of what firmware you have on it, you can connect windows, linux, mac, PSP, xbox, etc to it.

I have one of the older versions of the WRT54G (v2) and it's excellent. I always recommend it.

I couldn't recommend the WRT54GS highly enough, but can't really compare it to either of the other 2...
