    hi guys,

    quick question, is there anyway of telling what version a bios chip is from the chip itself & how do I know if it is rewriteable???

    The number on your bios chip wont give you any indication of what is on it & yes it is re-writable. Its just a stanard eprom chip with a specified bios flashed to it by the mobo manufacturer. This is what happens when you flash your bios. As a matter of interest, why are you asking?
