Guaranteed prizes withdrawable????

I just been informed of a rumor that a particular est is withdrawing its Guaranteed prize fund for a particular event.

Now as I said its only a rumour So I wont nag on about it.

But as a general point in turn, Is this acceptable, You pay your money on the promise of a tourney with a guaranteed prize fund for to be informed 3-4 weeks before the event that they are withdrawing the guarantee?

Has anyone ever heard of such happening and if so what where the repercussion if any

Also many of these reg'd parties will be traveling from overseas Would you be happy to travel to an event to find out the prize pool is dramatically lower than promised I most certainly wouldn't

If anyone knows anything on this topic please let us know

    Yours Faithfully

I think you two should learn about defamation of character before you post any such rubbish in future.

If your barred from somewhere there's no need to act like a child and go around spreading rumours.

    Grow up

I never mentioned anything about anyone or any club Merely asked a question about a general and what lead me to my ponderings So before you start throwing accusations I suggest you read things a bit better

and LARDO is not your mate, cop on.

I read it correctly, your such to stupid to realise people see through you.

If its true, mention the event and stop talking crap, if its true, what harm have you done, but I think LARDO comments make it very clear which event your talking about and so do your's in relation to dates etc.

I might also add that I'm not barred from the not mentioned est. or any other for that matter And I assure you that Nobody on this site knows me as I have always remained anonymous on the site so as to remain unbarred from such est.'s And from what I gather neither is LARDO as he mentioned he is reg'd for said event.

The reason I never mention the club or event is it is completely unsubstantiated and therefore my questions were merely where I stand as a poker player in said situation

Thanks for your useless insults and blurtings though :p

    Your faithfully

I presume the alluding is towards the Macaus £100k event?

I'd be very surprised if they did withdraw the guarantee with Betfair being on baord for the event and advertising on the BF site for a while. With 67 playrrs registered with over 3 weeks to go I can't see why they will not hit the 100 player mark??

You seem to hate the place and its owners with a passion, why do you care if you get barred? I know if I felt as strongly you appear to, I would never play there. There is another card room in Cork after all.

Well I don't play there, Simple, but should there be anything be in a particular est in the future that was too good to miss, However unlikely, then why should I have to forfeit my right to be treated equally merely for having an opinion.

Is there anything wrong with this?

    Locked.

Either spit out what you want to say without all the alluding to this and that or leave it alone.
