Anyone watch this? It's such a great show! Why oh Why can't RTE make some decent shows like this?

Good show OK but it has been better. This season has hints of 24 about it and is not the best for it. Definitely not as snappy as in recent seasons. Also getting a bit fed up with Hermione Norris walking around with a face like a pinched prune and Adam feeling sorry for himself.
The saving grace is the extremely alluring Jo, who seems to encourage people to beat her up every week and the wonderful Malcolm in his Burberry jacket scurrying to the rescue.

Yes always enjoy Spooks, one of the better programs on the telly.

It does seem to have hints of 24 about it...I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last series.

Its the last series for Adam Carters character. My only moan is that too often there is a bogus "race against time" element. John Le Carre and Len Deighton managed to write absorbing drama without such tricks.

Don't think it is, read somewhere that he will be in a couple of episodes of the next series.

Have to say though absolutely love Spooks,pure class imo.

Can anyone tell me what Tom's real name is? Because in the 1st episode, he goes to dinner and whatnot as Matthew Archer. And he has a box labelled Matthew Archer at the Grid. Then when

He is decommissioned he leaves with the box and passport naming him Matthew Archer.

So whats his name? Is Quinn an Alias?

The early episodes were much better... it's become more action-oriented and overly focused on Adam I think.

If you like espionage shows, I recommend trying to find an ITV cold war series called Sandbaggers on DVD. First class stuff.

Tom was a cold, selfish bastard and a far more believable spook as a result, IMHO. Adam has been too much the conflicted nice guy, though Roz makes up for that.

I was expecting some return to form at the start of the new season when they blew up a civilian train in Iran. I don't want to see them getting too PC, always shocked, SHOCKED, at what those perfidious yanks are plotting.
