Does anybody know where I could find a selection of O-rings that would fit a piston head in varying thickness. I have 2 heads in my flat that have next to no seal in the cylinder due to the wrong O-rings being on them.

I knew there was a good reason why my Aug was firing at 240 fps.

might be worth replacing the o-ring in that shiny new m249 of yours too ;)

if you live on the southside, i got o-rings in smyths builders providers on the greenhills road a few years ago, but i'd imagine anywhere that does plumbing supplies would be able to sort you out, must stock up on a few o-rings myself actually....

Funny you should mention it, I broke the handle on my Aug. So I stripped it for parts until I get around to fixing the handle. Pretty much the entire gearbox, motor and all is going into the m249. Thats when I saw the horrible seal on the piston in the m249, then saw it was the same in my Aug.

I'l try to look aorund for some plumbing supply stores. I used to live close to Greenhills but not any more so I can rule that one out. And with a 1+hour commute, most shops are closed when I get a chance to go.

Actually, I might just raid the plumbers tool box in my dads company.

you might need to do a bit of dremel'ing to fit a different motor into the m249, so i hear anyway, havent got around to installing my new motor yet, hopefully this week though :D

anyway, on-topic, anywhere that does plumbing supplies should do it, if i get a chance i might try pick up some o-rings during the week and bring them to hrta at the weekend

the last time i seen them was only a few weeks ago so some may still have them and if not they'll be around again soon. they had a yellow box and a grenn box i think. one was metric sized O-rings and the other imperial sized O-rings. i ment to get a set of each but something came up and i forgot all about them.

http://www.abbeyseals.ie/ do all sorts of seals, o rings etc . Maybe a quad-ring would be better , lower friction and twice the sealing points
