    Hi there,

I live in Dublin but have friends in Australia and so I would like to get an Australian geographic number so they can call me at local rates.

Do you guys know of VoiP providers who provide a free or cheap Aussie geographic number? I wouldn't need an Irish number.

Blueface do it, but for €15p.m. on top of the plan cost. Are there any others?

    Thanks in advance,

    Daire

    Sydney is $10 a month after a $20 set-up  charge.

Thanks for that Tak, that might be the way to go if I cannot find any providers that include the number as part of a plan.

Skype will give you an Australian number for €15 for 3 months or €50 PA, choice of about 9 different cities for your NDC - eg numbers in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth etc.

When people call you, get them to download Skype and you can talk free, unlimited, forever. With far better sound quality than a regular phone and video if you decide to use it. Voicemail, conferences, call diversion to your mobile, etc etc also available.

Did you ask Blueface? They may give you a reduced rate if you don't want an Irish number.
