I'm not accustomed to all of the things
that you tell me i need to be free.
It takes all i can muster to find all the things
that i need just to help me to see.

that broken down cars and old jukebox bars
are all that can help me to sleep.
on restless nights where i end up driving
the wrong way down one way streets

until it all comes down. sometimes. it all comes down.

there ain't a man whos not aimed a gun
with both barrels and shot of his feet.
there ain't a man whose not propped up the bar
trying to forget the girls he'll never meet.

there ain't a man you can march to the drum
    without ever missing a beat.
there ain't a man who could withstand the pain
of the heartbreak whenever she speaks.

    it all comes down. sometimes.
    it all comes down.

    it all comes down
    when you come around.
    I cover my ears,
try to drown out the sound of you
    telling me things
that i'd swear would be sins
if they weren't spoke by an angel.

I'm not accustomed to all of the things
that you tell me i need to be free.
It takes all i can muster to find all the things
that i need just to help me to see

that a thick black scar and a shotgun-shy heart
are all that you've given to me. on those
restless nights where i ended up driving
the wrong way down one way streets.

    it all comes down. sometimes.

I like it. Kinda reminds me of Damien Rice type lyrics...
    Keep it up.

    Did you right that yourself?
That's brilliant really meaningful, have you got a tune to sing along with it?
Excellent job let me know when your playing it live somewhere.:)

any tabs, chords to go with that, I printed it out for the hubby, he wants to know how it goes, don't worry, hes a fat grey haired 35 year old who's suffering a premature midlife crisis and he dresses like Ronald Mcdonald, he won't be breaking into the charts anytime soon with it he he

that you tell me i need to be free.
    C

It takes all i can muster to find all the things
    C
that i need just to help me to see.
    G
    F
that broken down cars and old jukebox bars
    ----C

    G
    F
on restless nights where i end up driving
    ----C

    Chorus

    Am
    F---C
    Am
    F
    C
until it all comes down. sometimes. it all comes down.

    Verse Two (as verse one)

there ain't a man whos not aimed a gun
with both barrels and shot of his feet.
there ain't a man whose not propped up the bar
trying to forget the girls he'll never meet.

there ain't a man you can march to the drum
    without ever missing a beat.
there ain't a man who could withstand the pain
of the heartbreak whenever she speaks.

    Chorus (As before)

    it all comes down. sometimes.
    it all comes down.

    Bridge

    Am
    it all comes down
    F
    when you come around.
    --C
    I cover my ears,
    G
try to drown out the sound of you
    Am
    telling me things
    F
that i'd swear would be sins
    C
    G
if they weren't spoke by an angel.

    Verse Three: Same as before

I'm not accustomed to all of the things
that you tell me i need to be free.
It takes all i can muster to find all the things
that i need just to help me to see

that a thick black scar and a shotgun-shy heart
are all that you've given to me. on those
restless nights where i ended up driving
the wrong way down one way streets.

    Chorus: Same as before

    it all comes down. sometimes.

Don't know if that's much help to your hubby, but tis a fairly slow, simple steady beat (at least when i play, maybe he'll transform it into something altogether different!)

seeing as someone actually replied to the last one, i thought i'd put up some other lyrics.

    Intro
I've been finding out what's wrong.
I've been finding out what's gone.
We've been fighing 'bout what's lost.
We've been fighting at what cost?

I've been finding out what's wrong.
I've been singing these sad songs.
I've been trying since you've gone.
I've been crying for too long....

    Verse One:

    All my bitter thoughts,
    All my vendettas,
    -Have all come crashing down,
    and left me alone with

    All of my remorse
    While this confession,
    -Just Keeps thrashing round
my head but it won't fit.

    In this city of fire,
    In this city of god.

    In this city of liars,
    In this city of frauds.

    -I keep coming up short.

    Chorus:

But every time you come around
you know i spend along time, stood about,
    a long time, finding out,
that those tears in your eyes, broken bottles in disguise,
they're gonna fall again and again and again.

And every time you're leaving town
you know i spend a long time, bumming out,
    a long time, coming down,
like a comet in the sky, another star that's born to die,
we're gonna fall again and again and again.

    Verse Two:

    Everything you gave,
    I took with open arms,
-But pipe dreams and lucky charms
    Don't hold much water now.

    And everything you said,
Like "I never meant no harm".
    -Well good intentions are
    sooner lost than found.

    In this city of fire,
    In this city of god.

    In this city of liars,
    In this city of frauds.

    -I keep coming up short.

    Chorus:

But every time you come around
you know i spend along time, stood about,
    a long time, finding out,
that those tears in your eyes, broken bottles in disguise,
they're gonna fall again and again and again.

And every time you're leaving town
you know i spend a long time, bumming out,
    a long time, coming down,
like a comet in the sky, another star that's born to die,
we're gonna fall again and again and again.

    Stop saying that you know
    -where I'm coming from.

    Stop sayim that you know
    -where I'm comin from.

Stop saying that you know where i'm coming from,
Stop saying that you know where i'm coming from,
Stop saying that you know where i'm coming,
You don't know, where i'm coming,
You don't know, where I'm coming from.

Thank you so much.post more ASAP.
