9/10 from Eurogamer. Seems to be a lot of those these days, but this is perhaps one of the best if not THE BEST years for games in my memory.

It was going to happen eventually - a non-multi-platform PS3 game that would make you want to own a PS3 - and where Resistance, Motorstrom, Heavenly Sword and others have failed - it looks like Uncharted has stepped up to the plate.

I'm happy enough for the PS3 to be like this. I don't care if Sony win the console war, truth be told I'd prefer they didn't. Go Nintendo! However, i can justify having bought a PS3 if every once in a while a title like this pops up. (Plus the announcement of DivX support is very nice).

Excellent, had high hopes for this and really needed a reason to actually turn on the PS3.

Eurogamer are tough critics, arguably especially when it comes to PS3 games, so that's a really great score. The review also reads more like a 10!
Far from being just another Tomb Raider, Uncharted, at times, feel like a wish-list of all the best bits of your favourite action games of the past five years.
Talking of environments, it's hard to think of a single game that's ever included such lush and staggeringly detailed gaming environment. As much as Gears of War provided a stunning next-generation shooter setting, the moody greys and browns made it a harsh, dark, hostile, and monochromatic place to be. In Uncharted, it's not just superior to Gears in terms of out and out detail, but brings a feel-good factor with the sheer level of environmental variety on offer.
Given a fresh platform and a new lease of life with a radically different style of game, it has carefully pieced together the best bits of all your favourite action adventures and come up with a fundamentally focused offering that's easily as good, if not better than any of them.

Also, mentioned in the other thread, but maybe more appropriate here, IGN has also given it a glowing review:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the most fun I've had in a videogame this year.
Say what you will about the PS3, but Uncharted isn't just a standout for Sony -- it's a standout for gaming as a whole.

    Score: 9.1

I was very surprised to see a 9 after reading a review so full of gushing praise and not a single criticism - especially considering how easily they've given 10s to games they've had issues with in other reviews.

i still think that people are hesitent to give any ps3 title the praise it deserves. seems like everyone wants sony to lose (except ps3 owners, obviously;)) and they all seem to be overly harsh on ps3 games compared to 360 and PC ones.

start a new account on your ps3, get to the network part and sign up for a new PSN account, using the United States as your country of origin

Just played the demo. Great graphics, good AI, good sound. Very good fun, reckon I'd buy it if I weren't poor!
