Thanks in advance for all your wonderful replies....

Anyway I was wondering if people could rate/recommend their 3 favourite games on the PS3.

Kind of games I like include PES, Call or Duty and I also like thinking freeflowing platform games - it's been a long time since I played any, but I'm looking to get back into them.

    Thanks

Well i dont think many people have 3 full games but out of my list id have to put them in the following order....

    1. Warhawk (Loving this, the madness of it all, Multiplayer Rocks)
    2. Rainbow 6 Vegas (Tough game)
    3. Resistance (Still brilliant)
    4. Motorcross (Havent played it much since i first got the PS3

    Downloaded Games

    5. Calling All Cars (Fun and Good crack with Friends)
    6. Rampage (Retro Classic - Good crack with Friends)
    7. Gran Turismo Concept (Great Free game - 390MB)
    8. Gauntlet II (Not worth the money, no skill involved)

I'd say you'd be wrong, plenty of people have 3+games!!

If i was to list mine in order of prefrence:
    1. Rainbow 6 LV (Pretty great single player, and co-op terrorist hunt is very enjoyable)
    2. Oblivion - Single player only, the most open ended game ever! (sadly i let to let this one go as i had no time to play it!)
    3. Warhawk - Multiplayer only, very enjoyable, it works better online than any other gam i've ever tried
    4. Ninja gaiden sigma - Single player only, it looks good and plays better. Camera angles kill this game at times
    5. PES 2008 - Frustrates me... so much! Suffers from lag when set to HD, you should wait untill WES 2008 comes out and see if its any better

    Call of Duty 4

    Ratchet and Clank

    Warhawk

Those are the three games that have made me an avid gamer again after a few years of just picking up and plaing my PS2 every now and then.

Resistance was like that for me too when i first got it.

    Resistance - Brilliant.
Tiger Woods - A lot more difficult to get consistently right than the PSP version
F1 - Looks gorgeous. Easy enough to get into, then you can start dropping the driving aids as you get better.

I think with me, the online play is a huge factor. I used to get pissed off spending 60 euro on a game, finish it a weekend and then have it sitting on a shelf. I'm not really one of those people that feels the need to complete a game 100% and collect everything etc. The only games before I got my PS3 that I actively played for months were Timesplitters 2 and 3 and the Guitar Hero games. Grand Theft Auto would keep me occupied for a few weeks. Resistance I played solid for about three weeks, and then on and off for about another month, purely down to the online play. Spinter Cell's multiplayer was fun too. Warhawk removed me from society for about 4 weeks, and Ratchet and Clank, though it has no multiplayer is the first game that I compulsively want to play through again. Call of Duty 4's multiplayer is set-up really well, with extra game modes, weapons, abilities being unlocked the more you play it so it really gives you an incentive to keep playing.

So that for me has been the deciding factor in me getting drawn back into the world of video games for more than a fleeting visit. I bought 3 PS3 games last week, which is probably more than the amount of PS2 games I bought in the last year and a half.

I forgive games like Ratchet and Clank and I assume Uncharted for having no multiplayer because I've so many options in terms of multiplayer available in other games that I'm almost thankful it's not another game that's going to make me into a hermit for months on end. I'm getting Rock Band in a couple of weeks, it could be months before I'm seen or heard from again!

If I'm reading this right the general thought is to get
    Resistance
    Rainbow
    Warhark, &
possible - heavenly sword and call of Duty,

    Thanks

Call of Duty 4 is insanely good. It's a strong contender for many, many game of the year wards. And once they have the online multiplayer sorted out (some people are having probs getting it working) unless you have only 70 euro on you and Jessica Alba has just walked up offering you sex for that very same amount, there is little or no reason to not get the game :P
