Has anybody seen the new Boots ad? All the girls are glamarous having fun, beautiful, radiant full of the joy of life. Cut back to the office - a few pathetic men, short sleeved shirts, a bunch of dullards - the world would be better off without them.

Why do Boots think that they can give such a bad impression of men, without having to answer to anybody?

Well this is it - I'm sick of it - there's an elephant in the living room and I want to mention it. I'm sick of all this man bashing in advertising, and in society in general. I'd be brought to jail if I said some of the things to females that females routinely say to men.

I've had enough - I'm starting with Boots. They can stick thier shaving foam, their Gillette Mach 3 razors and their Regaine up their corporate arses - I'm not shopping there anymore ... and I'm going to demand that nobody buy me a Christmas presents from that emporium of man-hatred !! And I will not buy their over-priced perfumes as a stocking-filler for my beloved - yeah that's it, I've outflanked them - they never saw this coming.

Join the revolution. The lads, one-by-one and all together, let's bring this behmoth down (or at least try to affect their Christmas sales by 2 to 3 percent).

They can simply because they know they only reason us men will be going to boots over the christmas period is to stock up on "family planning" supplies.

The best thing to do is send an email to their head of PR saying how you think it's a disgrace how they depict men in their ads and that because of this you will not be shopping there ever again. Either that or a dirty protest.

I was caught out by that one as well. That's twice now I looked at a thread that I thought would be about erections. That "give 'em an inch, take a mile" title was also very misleading.

Somebody should start a thread about erections. I'm not going to do it because I couldn't be arsed.

Maybe, I am reading to much into this memtalman, but isn't the ad for make-up, perfum, fake tan etc, hence it's marketed at women.

Just because they don't show the men getting glammed up, does not mean you can't get glammed up if you want to. Now you rise above boot's and you show them that memtalman is not going to put up with this anymore, if memtalman wants to shape his eye brows, wax his bikini line, slap on some toner and pout his lips with the prettiest pink lippy on the market than that he is so going to do just that.
