    Hi

i've installed a new internal spare hard drive today, however due to the design of the case, the hard drive doesn't sit flush in it, there is only a few mm between them near the bottom, is this a problem? heat wise etc?

Not really, hd's dont really give off much heat & usually idle in the mid 20's. Mine only have a few mm between them also but i've got a fan blowing on them. Add a fan if your worried.
