Coming up to christmas ,I'd say a lot of people get caught out by things like this.

It's funny alright ,but if you glance at the page ,it's very easy to think it says boxed ,rather than box.

It won't be the last time someone buys a box like that, there was another case a while back I think it was for the PS3 box or similar but was something like €500, it was on the papers.

There was an Xbox Box sold on eBay a few years back, went for something like 200pounds Sterling. It clearly stated in the auction that it was for the box, not a system. the buyer wasn't too pleased and left negative feedback for the seller and reported him to eBay. They investigated and found nothing wrong as it was stated in the auction that you were bidding on an empty box. There was a thread about it on here and the seller even came on with a few comments.

Also seen a German seller selling an Athlon CPU Fan. By the looks of the bids, it seems they all thought it was the CPU itself. Fan (worth about 10 quid) sold for about 100 in the end. Language differences can also make people more stupid than they naturally are.

i can relate to this, twice accualy.

I put the PSP Box on ebay, with the intention of selling it to someone who wanted a box, to re-sale their PSP or something, seen it done before and thought why not. i dont need it.

So put it on ebay.co.uk, Sony PSP Japanese Version Box was put as the title, and i said in the description it was only a PSP box, nothing else.

it ended up going for about 170€ and they guy accualy paypaled me the money. of course i refunded the poor guy and was on my way.

happened a 2nd time, but this time the "THIS IS ONLY A PSP BOX, THAT IS ALL!" was in huge writing in red. it still went for about 150€ and i got the money. refunded again.

Its Crazy how people dont read.

    Hi

I think I will start looking for empty boxes:D? might follow the Oxygen bin truck next time they are around.

    Regards

Could they sue you for that because i think i remember seeing this thing on Judge judy and it was this woman who sold a photo of a camera instead of the camera itself but on the description she said it you are bidding on a photo of a camera but the buyer won.
