There's a guy in Carlow called John Flynn who does this. I know him and he's a reliable guy, he's been recommended on Boards before as well.

From what I can remember there are a couple of people advertising this service in the autotrader, think it was in the commercial section.

    Neil.

Hey, I'm driving somebodies car over Dec 6th and taking a flight back, I could pick up your car and drive it back if you were interested? I'll be driving to London for the other person. Don't ask me to pick one for you though, I haven't a clue about any of that :p

I am after buying a 2003 Jaguar in Fleetwood near Blackpool. I have read great reports about a guy called John Flynn in this forum and he is charging me 400 euros to bring the car back from ANYWHERE IN THE UK to outside Carlow where he is based. He has a few car transporters and may even be able to get it to Cahir where I live.

I have also got an RAC report done on the car which I found to be an excellent service for £249 ( €380 ) . They do a 166 point inspection report on the car and can e-mail & / or mail the report to you which should help give you peace of mind about the car. In my case the garage rectified all the minor faults identified in the VERY DETAILED RAC report. You can get the mechanic that does it to call you and you can go through the findings with him.

The details of both of these are as follows :-

RAC Vehicle Inspection Reports ( which includes history and HPI checks )

    Bookings 0044 800975867 - a freephone number

Car Transport Home - John Flynn

    Tel. (059) 9143519 or Mob. (087) 2990141 or e-mail flynnrecovery@eircom.net

    Hope it works out.

    Regards,

    Chevy RV
