Only one season was ever made but it did leave an impression on me in 1977 (17 episodes 60mins) and it was confirmed when I tried (but failed) to swim like Mark Harris (Partick Duffy in his pre-Dallas days). An amphibious man from the lost city of Atlantis discovered in the Atlantic but he could swim underwater and breathe through gills and superhuman strength and regularly coming up against the evil Mr Schubert. This is another gem that should be released on DVD but alas there isn't yet one.

fond memories of that one, I used to think the sub they had was cool, I'm sure it had a name but can't remember. there seemed to be alot of that genre, the Gemini man, the invisible man, 6 million dollar man

All the abovementioned shows were brilliant. Loved them all and if they were released on DVD, I'd be the first in the shops to buy them. Great era.

I could never understand why the water didn't come up and flood the sub!

    (EDIT: I mean I couldn't understand it as a child - not now! ;))

    Boom Boom.

God, there was a whole heap of USA fantasy shows in the 1975-1979 period. All of them pretty crappy in terms of writing but back then you took what you could get.

    Incredible Hulk
    Man From Atlantis
    Fantasic Journey
    Logans Run
    Invisible Man
    Gemini Man
    Project UFO
    Buck Rogers
    Battlestar Gallactica
    Wonder Woman
    Captain Nemo mini series

    I've proberly missed a few.

    Mike.

I remember hearing a couple of years ago that there was going to be a remake of The Six Million Dollar Man. I haven't heard anything since except for the remake of The Bionic Woman (which doesn't interest me as much). Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Now that's a blast from the past - I used to love it! :)

That was good though, Robert Vaughan and David McCallum in low budget 007 adventues. If you remember it, they had one room for both Uncle HQ and the T.H.R.U.S.H. plush office, they simply painted the set and swapped some tables, chairs and curtains

what about the corridors in star trek ?
they curved around the "bridge" and they used coloured lamps to show different floors
they had one room for sickbay/crew quarters

Aw the man from Atlantis...myself and my mates used to annoy the shop assistants in Wrights in Fairview asking if they had him in stock because their slogan was "if it swims we have it":D sad I know.

Think the man from Atlantis was the first man I fancied:o...I remember being in my nanny's with my sister watching it, we were squabbling over the Tv Times 'cos he was on the cover. We wanted to kiss his picture while watching:D. For some reason I can't fathom, we went right off him when he appeared in Dallas. Probably 'cos of this scene...shudder!!!
