    The Smiths where easily one the most important bands to come out the UK during the eighties they bridged the gap between the demises post punk scene and nighties rave culture. Andy Rourke & Mike Joyce where the rhythm section of the band fronted by Morrissey and Johnny Marr on guitar.
    They Released there first studio album in 1984 entitled simply The Smiths which rocketed straight to number two in the charts. They went on record three more album "Meat Is Murder", "The Queen Is Dead" and "Strange Ways Here We Come" all ground breaking in there own right, but it was shortly after Strange Ways that Johnny Marr decided to leave The Smiths, the others continued on for a while but soon after Morrissey the lead singer decided the new arrangement wasn't working as well as it had and deiced that The Smiths where finished so he contacted NME to public announce it much to the dismay of the others. After a long court case between Morrissey and Rourke and Joyce the later have deiced to release a DVD Inside The Smiths which documents their story of what it was like to be a member of what was one of the most influential UK acts of modern times. Andy Rouke and Mike Joyce play a very special DJ set at The Underground @ Kennedy's Westland Row. They have recently been on tour throughout the UK, USA, Japan where they have played the sellout crowds given the fanatical following The Smiths still enjoy some twenty years later.
