Isn't this episode 8, not 9? And didn't Sky Onc NOT show 6 & 7 together, so episode 7 is on November 18th (this Sunday) with episode 8 (this episode) to be shown on November 25th?

Yep you're right, Bang & Burn is Episode 8, not sure about the Sky & RTE viewing dates...

Fixed episode number.. not aware of the Sky / RTE dates so just appended 7 days onto them from the previous week. If they're not correct, i apologise!

Pretty good, seems Linc fancys himself the new Michael... wonder if he's gonna rescue him in transit?

Mahone-gibbering. Starting to get a small bit annoying...Not sure what else he's gonna contribute..

What's Gary Millar gonna do now?

hows Linq gonna know micheals being transfered?
true, but he must have something super duper planned with Sucre, renting a house, recording gunshots, maybe it'll be the most foolproof do-something-cool yet seen in the series!:D

Damn, it's just getting good and it's going on 2 month hiatus.
Another indirect result of the strike.
There were originally going to be 12/13 episodes aired before christmas, but because 24 is on an indefinite hiatus, they need to use Prison Break in January.

I knew Mahone was going to end up back in Sona, the eps where he was being transferred were just screen-filler. I'm getting to like this new ruthless Linc;that's two eps in a row he's killed someone.
The company have no use for L.J. now so why didn't they just get rid of him?
Maybe now that the helicopter rescue went arseways they will go back to using Scofield to break out Whistler again? I presume he's not going to be actually transferred.
Btw, wasn't there some weird lesbo vibe in that scene between Sofia and Susan or was it just me?
I thought at one stage Susan was gonna start necking her!

Transferred...via a bullet...into a grave!! mwuhahahaha. then the whole series would revolve around Lincoln trying to break everyone else out to save his son!

    I should be a writer, I'd show those strikers...

    as if you werent!

alright ep... i had no idea it was on hiatus til jan until right now! daaamn!
and then someone said massive cliffhanger and it took me a while to remember what that cliffhanger was, and then i remembered and i was like "oh... that." not that good at all!

was this hiatus business in season 1 and 2? if so, i spoiled myself terribly watching them in the space of about 3 weeks on dvd :(

The RTÉ TWO date is correct, the Sky date is not, it should be the 25th November. :)

I was pretty impressed that they actually showed Mike take his shirt off. They painted that tattoo onto his back for the all of 2 seconds that he had his shirt off.

A good episode none the less with loads of action. Wondering now where Mike is going to be transferred to.

It was also odd that baldy would allow Mike to be killed by Gary. I thought Mike was their pet project or something?

It was an alright episode, i kinda wanted more from it. i found myself asking questions, allot of questions. Mainly because i want to know why the company aborted the attack/rescue ?

When Whistler dropped why didnt they just lower so he could try to climb up again?

Not really. As Michael said himself they didn't need him anymore when they decided to break Whistler out by themselves. But they now may go back to Michael seeing as that plan failed.
I thought it was a bit ridiculous that the Sona army guys couldn't identify who was on the roof after, even though they were swinging around in the air for ages in full view of everyone during the assault.

I was on the edge of my seat roaring "GO ON! KISS! GO ON! GO ON!!!" but it didn't happen. :(

I liked the Spanish version of "Don't Fear The Reaper" at the start of this episode. I hope they bring out an album of those tunes.

Looks like Susan's goose is cooked now that the breakout failed. Wonder if she'll have to go on the run from the Company? It will be interesting to see what Linc's plan is too but it'll be a pain in the arse to wait until January.

I hope they don't do something stupid like having her team up with Linc and Sucre to free Michael à la
    Kellerman last season
    .

Ep 8 is Awesome! Just when you think there can't possibly be any more twists along come another one! The best programme on TV by a mile!
Can't believe it's not on again til January - I'll be in a worse state than Mahone by then :)

and i think its time Mahone offed himself, hes getting anoying

I presume when linc goes to visit they'll just say that he isn't there.

As regards to Mahone and those 2 episodes being away being just filler, I disagree, he should have his pills now and with those he's the best character

Yeh, or why didn't one of the helicopters just land on the roof while the other staved off the soldiers? There was enough room.

All in all a good episode. Raging we have to wait until January now !

    3 man escape? ;)

Thought it was an average episode myself as the guards were **** at shooting yet the week before or so they shot a rat from the tower !

So Micheal going to be put in solitary I reckon ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,620 ✭✭✭Rick_

In some recent behind the scenes stuff filming on the beach where Linc buried that ice box there were cast group photos and McGrady was there, the little Mexican boy who loves basketball. That's interesting... Perhaps he joins in the escape too?

Also, how come the guards killed a prisoner in retalliation when there was an unsuccessful escape attempt in which no-one was caught in the act, just a rope net hanging from a cell window, yet when it happens the second time and this time the escape is clearly visible and guards are killed and property is destroyed... nothing happens. And just why does Sona have those office-y type ceiling tiles in the corridors allowing anyone access to the roof?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing although the commanding officer who took Scofield away wasn't the same one who killed the prisoner.
This guy seems a bit more lenient.
I am a little pissed off over the sudden appearance of a tunnel underneath the prison, seems like lazy scriptwriting to me, as well as a complete carbon copy of season one.

Thought it was a very inconsistent episode and some of the action sequences were terrible. For example the exploding 4*4 which had 3 guards in it before it exploded and nobody in it during the explosion. They could have at least had some dummies in there. Really sloppy stuff.

I'm beginning to get a bit annoyed with all the plot inconsistencies and the bad acting - they may look good but Susan and Whistler's girlfriend were really bad in this ep too many distorted facial expressions! I was happy enough to overlook all this so far but I think they're taking the **** now.

You could hear one of them saying they couldn't see their faces.

That's why they both stripped their shirts as soon as they got back inside, so they couldn't be ID'd from what they were wearing.

Well, that and so they'd have an excuse to show the tattoo shot, just as a dig at the people who kepts talking about it. Lol at that.

Thought it was all a bit meh though. If the Company had all those resources why didn't they just "bang and burn" from the start. No way it was any riskier than putting Michael in on his own and expecting him to get Whistler out.

Come to that, why not just bribe the camp commandant or threaten his family. Get him to transfer Whistler out? That'd be a far easier solution.

This is why thinking about Prison Break a little is bad. You've just found a plothole with the whole premise of the 3rd Series. :D

Season one was like that too. Remember when the company tried to get Michael transferred out of Fox River but Warden Pope stopped it at the last minute?
Like they can frame a guy for murder but can't do a simple thing like that?
