I fricking hate mustard for some reason.
I love most foods, and am a hot-sauce freak, but never really warmed to mustard.

My discovery of the mustard-spuds combination was an accident. I was spreading some mustard on my corned beef as usual and I was clumsy enough to drop a whole spoonful onto my spuds! I mashed it up anyway and goodness is it tasty. I put a fair bit in too, the potatoes dilute the tang.

There is a traditional German dish called Senfeier (Mustard Eggs).

Depending on where you are you use boiled potatoes or mash. It's a simple dish, a couple of hard-boiled eggs, lots of mash and a thick creamy yellow mustard sauce. Sometimes with spinach but that's optional. Pan-fried onions go well with it. Remember it as a kid. Was absolutely delicious.
