i have some of the symptoms such as sudden weight gain , hair on my face and a few other places girls wouldnt get it & severe acne (im 26!)
but i have regular (ish) normal flow periods ...

i m going go to the docs to ask , but i know the main sympton is not getting your period as the egg isnt passing through you the way it should be ...

has anyone esle been diagnosised with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome while getting normal periods ?

Only way to know for sure is to have a scan (i.e. ultrasound). Get your doc to send you for one, VHI and BUPA cover it, it's e50 otherwise.

Ifyou go as a public patient on referral from your doc, the scan should be free, although you'll have to wait longer to get it done.

It's possible to get some of the symptoms but not all (as you say, the weight, hair, and acne, but yet regular enough periods), while you're at the docs get a full blood workup too to check everything - thyroid (an underactive one could be the underlying cause of the weight gain rather than PCOS) and blood sugar levels, as there's a higer risk of diabetes associated with PCOS. A scan will reveal if there's cysts present, and your consultant will be able to refer a course of treatment to you.
