English teaching interview

    Hi,

I'm hoping someone can give some advice with this.
I'm currently subbing since September and I recently applied for some posts advertising English teaching jobs. I don't have my hdip yet (I'm planning on doing it in September) and so I thought I would not be considered for these roles but I applied anyway. I was then called for interview for the post and I was just wondering if it is normal practice for all applicants to get to interview stage or do I have a realistic chance at this?

Also would it look bad for me to suggest that I was planning to go back to college in Sept to do the hdip or would it be better for me to not mention the dip?

Also this is my first interview for a teaching job and I would be so grateful if anyone could give some general tips or advice for the interview?

And if anyone has any idea what type of questions I could be asked that would be great,

    The interview is on Friday.

    Thanks so much
