I'm going paintballing with a group of mates on Saturday and I've never been before.

    Any tips for maximum enjoyment?

    Welcome domall.

I'm not one of the paintball requlars, although I have played my fair share. Just listen to the marshals and do what they tell you.

Other than that, enjoy yourself :)

Interesting, perhaps when you come back you can do a review of that place for us as there has yet to be one written on paintballer.ie

Once again lads thanks for the responses. We had a great time at The Old Foundry Paintball on Saturday. Not that I have anything to compare it with but I thought they had a good setup and we were all well looked after. I thought it was well worth the money too. The initial fee is €35 which includes 150 paintballs to start (and tea & sandwiches afterwards). €5 per extra hundred then, I ended up using 6 extra (a bit trigger happy!) so €65 in total.

The 'game areas' were very good I thought, one in a forest for capture the flag, another more open with plenty cover spots for 'sppedball'. Another area for capture the base with lots of cover spots and some huts and tracks through bushes and trees.

The final area was known as 'Hamburger Hill', whcih was a timed game to get 3 team mates into a base at the top of the hill. The defending team were behind a line at the top of the hill behind the base and had to try and pick off the 'attacking' team as they came up the hill to enter the base. If a member of the attacking team was hit, they just had to retreat to the bottom of the hill, but if a 'defender' was hit, they were out. Good game. The free for all in the most open area at the end was great fun!

All-in-all a great way to spend a few hours.
