    Hi all,

New tournament list from the Irish Poker League. Mods can you add to Tournament Schedules sticky, thanks.

The Irish Poker League is an inter-pub/ club weekly poker event that runs all year, divided into numerous tournaments. Nightly games are a €20 + €5* freezout tournament (100% of Prizepool Paid Out). Cash Prize pool is divided on the night as follows (provisional, may change depening on numbers)
    1st place - 40%
    2nd place - 30%
    3rd place - 20%
    4th place - 10%

The Irish Poker League is also a points based league. Membership is free and every player is given their own individual membership card. Points are awarded based on where you finish in each weekly tournament. These scores are carefully recorded by your Tournament Director and added to the Venue and National Leaderboard, posted on our website each week www.IrishPokerLeague.com

    Points are awarded as follows
    1st - 1000
    2nd - 800
    3rd - 600
    4th - 500
    5th - 400
    6th - 350
    7th - 300
    8th - 250
    9th - 225
    10th - 200
    11th - 175
    12th - 15th - 150
    16th - 19th - 125
    20th plus - 100

The top players from each venue and the National Leaderboard at the end of each tournament (first 'round' is 5 weeks long, from January 2008 each 'round' will be 10 weeks long) will qualify for the 'Provincial Finals'. There will be 5 Provincial Finals per year, one every 10 weeks. We plan on giving away about 2k in cash prizes each Provincial Final. (This will rise as more venues come on board)

The winner of each 'Provincial Final' qualifies for the Grand Final (one per year)
Grand Final 1st Prize is a trip to New Zealand and a seat in the 'Check Raise Fold Cash Classic', including return airfare and accomodation.

    But that's not all!!

IPL members will automatically be entitled to our numerous online promotions, including our exclusive 'Points for Cash' promotion, whereby IPL members can convert the points they have accumulated into cold hard cash at any of our participating international online poker sites.

The Irish Poker League will also hold weekly online tournaments exclusive to IPL members.

IPL members can log on at any time to our website to find the nearest IPL participating venue, check out your local venue and National leaderboards, study the 'poker tip of the week' & poker news section, track other player's progress and subscribe to our Monthly newsletter email.

Kango - all games registration at 7:30pm, Kick off at 8pm

1stimpressions - at the moment we're only running games in Dublin, but the plan is to spread out and have an all-ireland League system, as shown on the website. This is a New Zealand company which is only starting up over here, but has about 800 venues running in New Zealand.

For info on where to play, click here

    Thanks

a very good idea. I am very keen on participating. I live in cork at the moment so the sooner this gets outside the pale the better for me :-)
