    Hi all,

    Just wondered what people's feelings are on this? Do people prefer the 360 or the PS3?

    The Wii beats them all imho. I have a PS3 (for 450e) and I'm not looking for my money back. I think it will greatly depend on the games you want to play tbh. There doesnt seem to be a great deal of difference between them though Xbox seems to have the edge in the online side of things...

    Well this is a playstaion forum, I have a PS3 not a 360 so i will say the Playstaion is better :D
    From a technical point of view it certainly is. From a games point of view the 360 is better as its been around longer and has a lot more games. the Ps3 will catch up with the games though.

    If you're lookin for multiplater, the PS3 seems to be a bit temperamental with the more popular games (cod 4).

    This has been done to death.

    If you like FPS games, western RPGs, online play and a good back catlogue of two years with some decent games already going cheap, get a 360.

    If you like platformers, action adventures, quirky japanese games, high definition movies, Japanese RPGs, innovative downloadable games and reliable and silent hardware, compatibility with a vast catalogue of PS2 games, get a 60 GB PS3. I wouldn't bother with the 40 gig model since it doesn't play PS2 games.

    The PS3 is a higher initial outlay but includes far more in the box and you don't have to pay for things like batteries, charging kits, wifi, online play, propietary hard drive or memory card upgrades, hd-dvd player if you want one, all of which add up to make the PS3 better value.

    XBL? :confused: Ah X Box Live!

    I've had one online game in COD4 - and it was great! - but now it just keeps telling me it's searching for matches/checking game quality. COD 3 wont let me connect to any game, it says it cant establish a connection with all players. I've messed around with port-forwarding too as per the Activision site but I got nothing.

    Saw on another forum that there's a major server overhaul going on with the developers of COD 4, they pulled an all-nighter to update the online lobby and connection process.

    Fifa 08 is constantly timing out for me too :( Like I love the PS3 but maybe it's just that the 360 has had more time to crack the online aspect of certain games.
