    Hi,

Anyone know if there are any good games out for the DS at the moment? My wife would like a couple for Xmas.

She already has Brain Training, Brain Academy, New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart. In my eyes these are the best games out there that I know of. Are the others?

Elite Beat Agents, and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is the obvious title at the moment. It's one of the best DS games ot be released in a long time.

Animal Crossing is a game that would go down well too, I'd imagine. It's bloody addictive too!

Another recommendation for Elite Beat Agents. More fun than a bag of monkeys.

Although a bag of monkeys does sound fun.

Does anybody have any opinions on Worms Open Warfare 2 (not the original) or Call of Duty 4

thought worms was great fun. cod4 is probably the best example of a shooter on the ds, but it's still not good...

Every time a FPS comes out on the DS I give it a go as a matter of interest. Mainly to see how they're pushing the DS's 3d capabilities. And there's always something wrong with it.

Ive been playing COD4 for the last few days and it's rubbish. Was playing Dementium: the ward before that. Some night lighting effects but again, rubbish game.

The best one so far has been Metroid Prime Hunters. But I even found the control system in that to be a novelty which then turned into a pain. (Literally)

But who in their right mind would buy a DS to play FPS anyway ;)

Worms open warfare 2 is bland 1 player, but an absolute must for multiplayer. Great fun.

Megaman zx is pretty good as is the settlers if you like strategy

Anno 1701 is a fantastic game if your wife likes strategy games. It got better reviews than the Settlers.

Starfox is very enjoyable once you get the hang of it.

Althou elite beat agents is a quailty game. Touch the dead can help you kill a few hours as well.
But I still can't beat DS wars for fun.

Nervous Brickdown is a simple, fun Breakout-type -- properly redone for DS!

Advance Wars DS is amazing. Pokemons not too shabby if shes in i for the long haul.
Judging from the games she currently has though,I'd go for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ds/gyakutensaiben

    Its brilliant fun
