Ends tonight at midnight, Ryanair are doing flights from Dublin and Belfast to a number of destinations incl. Glasgow and London. You have to travel before Jan 31st 2008, after Dec 8th, and you cant travel within a 7 week blackspot around Christmas. Look for the choices on flight section that are not marked regular fare and you are away. Its not just the flights at 6am and 11pm that are at this price, you can get flights during the day for the same cost!

I got my flight to Glasgow on Dec 13th for just €0.02c and a return trip to Manchester for my parents in Jan for €0.04c!

It's midweek only, 12pm Monday to 12pm Thursday. I think any 1c fare with 'reg fare' in blue beside it are the ones free of taxs and charges but I'm not certain.

6 euro per person booking with credit card.so if you booked for 10 people all wih same credit card u hace to pay 60 euro.bit scandaleous aint it.i booked flights.just to point out even though it may sound obvious you can go on a thursday and fly back on monday with tis offer if you want a long weekend and still save money.I was going monday to thursday when it dawned on me that i could fly out on the thursday and come back on the following monday and still get the deal.

they are a great company but sometimes they go too far. Today I could not travel Dublin to Cork with a picture ID - new rule states it must be a passport or driver license - Aer Arann had no such condition. it's a bit much acting like this for an internal flight and you kind of think are they actually trying to catch people?

    Well, there's something suspicious.

After confirming my flights two days ago, the following page loaded in IE with reference to Pricing:

    Total for 2 passengers

    Fare Price €30
    Credit card fee €12
    Taxes, fees & charges €65.46
    Insurance €0

    Total Price €107.46

However, I then got an email which broke down the total pricing as:

    PAYMENT DETAILS
    ********30.00 EUR Adult
********65.88 EUR Taxes, Fees & Charges
********11.58 EUR Aviation / WCHR Levy
    *********0.00 EUR Car Rental
    *********0.00 EUR Insurance
    *******107.46 EUR Total Paid

Is there some clever accounting happening?

Nope that's correct. In the first case, they didn't break down the taxes fees and charges. In the second case they added on the CC charge (€12) making it a total of €77,46. Then they took off the Aviation/WCHR Levy (€11,58) that they have to show.

That's why the total for the taxes, fees and charges comes up to 65.88 Euro in the end.

    €12 credit card fee

Makes ticketmaster fees look cheap in comparison....then again lets not get carried away!

Yeah i think thats it, 6 per person. But they only get charged something like 1% of the sale. They are making huge money off that,

it seems very wrong.if an electrical shop sold you a tv for a 1000 euro and said it is another 50 euro product recycling fund while it was actually 10 so they pocketed an extra 40 surely it is the same idea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 747 ✭✭✭getoffthepot

It's €3 credit card fee per flight per person.

Just got flights to Seville in April & May for €10 each way for missus and me incl taxes. Total €40 then credit card fee of €12 on top of that.
Still €52 isn't bad all in.

If you can pay with a debit card (not laser though I think) it's onl 2 euro each way for charges. Worked with my halifax card.

Maybe for the tenner deal but from past experience it shouldn't be for the free deal. They usually have a lot more destinations than this too.
