im just wondering do the combiner switches work on a motorised dish setup and ntl cable. the reason i ask is that i have a motorised dish at the back of the house and ntl cable tv through out the house. i want to move the satellite reciever downstairs but do not want to have a 2nd cable coming around the house. i can use one of these signal combiners at the ntl box on the side of the house to bring the signal of both into the living room. I see satellite.ie sell them.

Most sat combiners and diplexed outlets will work ok with CATV VHF. The NTL cable would be crap for satellite though.
Whats wrong with running cable round the side of the house anyway?

drilling another hole in the wall to get cable in for a start. I currently have my sat reciever in the bedroom and i use a video sender to transmit the signal. But problems with microwave ovens now effecting the signal has given me no choice than look at a different solution to watch satellite downstairs?
