Did anybody see either episode of Reeling In The Years this evening?

    Newspapers advertised 1962 and 1963 - at 6.30pm and 7.00pm.

Didn't bother watching as I already have them and am just missing 1980 - 1993.

Checked Sky TV Guide just now for next Sunday and they say 1982 and 1983 are on then.

Which leads me to believe they showed 1980 and 1981 tonight.

    Can anybody clarify?

Correcto :) Hunger Strikes, etc., were fairly prominent..... assassination attempts (Ronald Reagan, the Pope, Egyptian [prime minister/president])

    This is extremely frustrating.

I've emailed RTE to complain and request that they repeat 1980 and 1981 as soon as possible as opposed to waiting for them to come around in the next transmission cycle - which will probably be next summer.

Was on in the background, pretty sure it was 80 & 81....
The Blades signing Ghost of a chance, U2 signing Stories for boys, Banana Republic by the Rats, Mary McAleese as a reporter (talking about DeLorean cars), Bobby Sands, Knock Airport, Pat Kenny interviewing J.R. Ewing, etc......

    See my opening post.
Their programme description on their website [carried through to the television guides of various newspapers] said 1962 and 1963 would be shown tonight not 1980 and 1981. Therefore I did not tune in.

Surely it can't be that difficult to get it right.

Ah bugger. I checked the Chorus guide and that also said 1961 and 1962, so I didn't bother watching. Whereas I would have loved to have seen 1980 and '81. ****'s sake...

Rte always do this. Start off with 1962 and 1963. Then a twenty year jump to 1982 and 1983. I always miss the 1960's repeats and have never seen 1962. Now i will have to wait another year to see it!. There is something very Irish about the way RTE schedule this programme!!!. I think a late night marathon of the decades has to be done and advertised by RTE before XMAS!
