    To start this off

    The Ladies in Red

    7266DFE3BDEE483493C26B3D88EDFB27-800.jpg

I know its not particularly sharp and the sky is blown, but I thought it captured a little of the mood of the day.

I'm going to get my dinner and heading off to the dogs at Newbridge, I hope to be blown away by the quality of the pictures when I get back.

Upload time appears to be very long...not sure how to reduce size of photos (total beginer on that front) so here are a few to start on a pix account I set up today:

    There will be more later.

    Lovely work all round.

I was really drawn to the Xios' 4th shot of the leaf in the water. It really works. The reflection in the top right corner may be a bit distracting from the leaf, but there's something about the shot that caught my attention. It's an eye opener for me because I would probably have walked past it without seeing the potential.

    Summary of day

    Good points
    1. meet everyone for first time
    2. they seem "normal" (well as "normal" as someone who gets up so early on a weekend morning is)
    3. fresh air and mild exercise
    4. New(ish) coat
    5. being told by someone that they thought I was 17 (only 20+ years out !!)

    Bad points
    6.Rain (see 4 above)
    7. missing gingerbread men as left early
    8. my photos !

But in the spirit of the day I post a few photos

The first two are out of focus !

    1973782124_4b00f6e725_b.jpg

So I have put the rest of them here ...

Great shot! there's an eerie sense of emptiness about it, like the tree is reaching out to save a beautiful young damsel from suicide (after she dropped 5k on a 400mmIS only to find out the 1d mk3 was shoite maybee! ) but it's just too late :D

    Hi
Try as a might, I cannot make the picture appear- just the link..not sure if Pix.ie allows you to display the picture...files are v.large
Nice meeting you all yesterday...really like the church photos challengemaster ..very atmoshperic

Navigate in Pix.ie to the picture you want to put into the thread, click sizes, pick the size you want (800x600 for me usually), scroll to the bottom, highlight the text in the forums box, copy it, then paste it directly into you post. That should display your picture with a link back to pix.

    Nice shots by the way.
