I believe he is referring to the computers in business supplement that comes with the Sunday business post. I read and some of the articles are utter tripe. Although flogen wrote an article for it last week that was pretty good.

Yes, the one that comes with the Sunday business post first sunday of the month. I seriously doubt the people writing there even have computers...

From a journalitic standpoint it's also a joke... They just basically copy the marketing blurb (while still managing to make mistakes) and they don't give an opinion (objective or otherwise) on it. Usually whenever they do it's something like "this is good, I like it, I like good" A bunch of tosspots they are.

Who is this flogen that wrote an article for it? And what about? He can't be a regular or it couldn't be good.:D

if it's the flogen that posts at ICDG, he/she smart.

It's the flogen that's on here. I don't know where he/she posts but he/she mods prime time cartoons. The piece he wrote was about portable laptops.

Little or no research seems to go into half of the features in the Sunday Business Post. They are forever getting things wrong. Still, though, not much quality in the sunday papers these days.

Just read the piece and tbh he is better than the others but he's probably still hampered by the nooob target audience.:o I reckon of course I could do a better job but it might not appeal to conservative business types.

By far the worst thing are the typos though, simple stuff like the pictures being numbered wrong (do they proof read?) down to criminal stuff such as "comes with 512MB of Ram memory" (they couldn't even remeber what the M stands for, no?

I don't get what you are saying here. Where you expecting them to type out megabytes or something?

No:p R.A.M. memory the M stands for memory so they called it random access memory memory...very clever.

I don't see much of a problem with that. It's the same as ATM machine.

What annoys me about such articles is they publicise their view on 512mb of RAM being enough to run Vista Premium, and the Adobe and Office suite all at once!

Why? Because they basically need the advertisers' revenue.

They are not going to be truly objective when they review, sorry, re-publish press releases, and risk pissing off companies that spend thousands on advertising revenue with them.

Same rule applies for PC-Live (what an oxymoron).

The Computers in Business section is basically a shil-fest. I turn to British I.T. publications If I want impartial reviews.

On a different note stupidity such as
    Very unique

Oddly however Hilbert and Cantor proved that there are different "sizes" of Infinity.

Every page of that supplement should be marked "advertisement feature".

It was a good supplement years ago. But has turned in to an advertising rag more recently.
