    Hi all-
My friends Sky dodgybox has burned itself out and I was wondering if Sky sell replacement boxes and at what price as she still has a subscription with Sky.
The local tv shop tried to sell her a real old second hand box for 80 yo yo but she thought it was a bit beat up looking...thanx:)

Sky have a standard charge of €100-€130 or so, AFAIK. They send out somebody to replace box or fix whatever's wrong.

For a second hand box, try a local classifieds paper or eBay.

Remember, you will only get a refurbished box from sky (which could be years old). Only new customers get new boxes. Was an installer once for few weeks.

    Hi all-
Just wanted to update you on this post- My friend phoned Sky and told them the story of her burned out Dodgybox and that as it was no good to her and that she was canceling her Sky subscription, and guess what? They are sending out a Sky engineer with a new box next week, free of charge, and then she pushed it a bit further and asked for 3 weeks credit as she wasnt able to watch Sky but was paying for it, and guess what? To her and my amazment, they agreed!
So the moral(s) of the story-
    There really is a Santa,
    Sky really do care,
    or Miracles do really happen...

    IM STUNNED, but delighted!:)
