Best of luck with it if you acquire it but I'd say you'd be very lucky if they ship it - check out their export policy.

I purchased a spotting scope from OpticsPlanet.com in the US only 2 months ago. I received it in the space of a few days and I had it shipped the cheapest way possible. Got nailed for duty & customs though.

It was a Burris XTS 2575 $233 reduced from $349. Bought a tripod too for $42. I had it shipped by USPS Global Priority Mail for $57. It left the shop in Illinois 20th August & I received it 24th August. Paid an additional €65 on arrival to customs.

yhis is the information i got, No permit required for rifle scope shipments to the UK. If you intend to have a rifle scope imported to an address in Ireland, we must apply for an export permit which will take about 20 days. We do not charge a fee for this but absolutely must have one. Shipping to a US address requires no permit. Full payment for the scope in advance is required.
