finishing apprenticeship early

    hi,
    i'm just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to finish an apprenticeship without completing the full 4 years. i'm currently a 4th year apprentice and have completed all my phase and recieved my phase 7 results from fas. i'm not due to finish my apprenticeship til march 2008 but would like to finish early to go travelling.

    Pretty sure it's all timed. Also pretty sure you need your current boss to sign off some stuff, so you'd need their permission, or I doubt they'll sign the papers.

    company signed me off and let me go but fas say i have to work with another company til march. just wondering if i will still get my papers if i leave before march...
