And my experiments with the pinhole lens...

I was bored today, one of my friends came into the studio, and another friend wanted to play with her new old camera gear...

    Results are as follows.

    1935056417_2f66fbc469.jpg

    1935042375_ce34c1d3b9.jpg

Processing consists of a simple B&W conversion, quick levels, and doing my best at removing 2 big horrible sensor spots, but nada else really - Bit of sharpening in one or two cases.

    So, fire away :)

really like two, there's just something about it. methinks its the eyes

to be completely honest with you, I find 3/4/5 really boring

Then again, thats personal preference, and I'm just a newb :D

    Nice work, though

Pretty girls in pictures for C&C is a bad idea.
I'm not able to study the composition, only the subject. :o

It was a pretty boring day tbh, that probably just came across in them.

    :)

Oh, a few more on my flickr.

5 would be my preferred but God I don't know if it's my screen or what, they all look vaguely bleached. Were you aiming for that or should I just shut up?

Hmmm, they're not very contrasty on my screen.

I didn't want them to be coming across bleached. Will check on another screen now!

Just checked on one of the studio iMac's and they're still quite low contrast wise...

all in the nice category (or better!). 2 and 5 are really awesome to my eye. to be critical (although its still 'nice'), i think number 3 is probably a little dull - composition wise. great work really.

I like the second one, It's definately the eyes.

I think she looks very relaxed in that one too, make it stand out to me.

And yes, where do you get these photogenic friends? ;)

I don’t know but when looking at them I’m trying to find the “Gap” logo somewhere as if this was being used for an advertisement, and they feel more fashion than portrait to me. Apart from that I really like these especially the 1st and 3rd pity about the facial expression on the third but overall I like these and nice style.

I’m trying to find the “Gap” logo...

Tee hee, but they're lovely shots, well composed... my monitor is notoriously dark, so they may be bleached out there in the world of well-calibrated visuals, but right here and right now they are beautiful :)

I was thinking 'old navy' for some weird reason, but yeah good work - may all your bored evenings be as constructive!

I think your monitor might be slightly more suited to my printers/screen than you think so :p

Aye, they probably are more fashion orientated... I'm used to shooting fashion in studios, it's... fun.

Hmmm, more Gap than Old Navy I reckon though... :p

Oh, and I get them through art college. Works wonders for your friends.
