The JLS Scar is the first AEG I have bought where I was
    a little disappointed with it.

When I took it out of the box a lot of the paint work from the metal
areas were chipped and worn as if they were lying about in the factory
for quite some time and got knocked about a bit.
Over all if feels a bit cheap and crude but only compared to some
    other clones that I have.

The ABS on it is Nice and its textured (good point)

The Front Handle/Bi-Pod looks strong but its very flimsy but
its a great gimmick to push a button and the spring loaded handle
    becomes a bi-pod.

The Outer Barrel is very wobbly as it covers the battery compartment
and is only held on by one pin. The outer barrel also unscrews from its
    housing.

The Inner Barrel wobbles and moves about and even pulls forward a bit
which can cause the feed unit where the bbs feed into the aeg to become
mis-aligned with the magazine feed section if your not careful.

The Battery is a stick battery and its a a tight fit.

The Iron sights are great and flip up/down smoothly. The Back sight
is nice and has two white dots on either side. With the back sight down
you used the two white dots to line up with the bottom hole of the front sight. With the back one flipped up you use the larger top hole in the front sight.

This AEG is amazingl thin and feels weird to hold if you look at it head on
the front grip is thicker than the body of the AEG.

The Stock folds. The button is strong but the hinge is very loose.
The other part of the stock, the cheek rest you have to pull a pin out completely adjust and reinsert and it only adjusts to one other position.
The Butt pulls out 3 adjustments.

There are plenty of rails for adding stuff. Notice the air cooling vents
on the hand guard are not all cut out. Look at that ABS texture
    Mmm Goood Real Good.

The Cocking leaver and slide were the most disappointing. They look
real cheap and crude. It looks like the handle was badly soldered onto
a screw and sticks out and looks just wrong. The slide is a shiny chrome colour. you cant really see it from the photo.

    Bad points.
Slide/Cocking Handle and the paint work.
Barrel area could do with improvements.

    Good Points.
ABS Textured, Lots of rails, Magazine fits flawlessly, good cheap SCAR.
The metal feels a bit stronger than pot metal.

If you LOVE the Scar get a more expensive one.
If you want something to abuse on a skirmish field and only
have a mild interest in the SCAR buy one of these.
