just been offered ryan air flights to Paris on 23rd Nov . Wondering what area should I like for a place to stay ?
e.g. on laterooms.com they show areas ? If that makes sense

some one said any place near the metro, another try near " bastille station" .

from the airport where do you get dropped off in Paris , and how do you get there - I mean is there a few transport options, and if so which have people found best/cheapest ?

would be great to get there finally !!!

Plenty of cheap hotels around the Marais district (the Bastille) or around Montemartre/Pigalle/Opera districts. As long as you're close to a Metro station, you can get anywhere quickly, although I'd recommend only using the Metro to get to your hotel from the Airport and vice-versa, otherwise try walking everywhere. Paris is very walkable and November is a good time of year to go to Paris, not too many tourists about (relatively speaking).

You'll be flying to Beauvais, roughly an hour outside Paris. A bus leaves for Paris about a half hour after your arrival. It costs €13 and is the best/cheapest option! You will be dropped off at Port Maillot and a mere few steps away from the terminal in the Metro which you can take to your hotel!

Same bus also leaves Port Maillot afaik 3 hours before every Ryanair departure for your return.

Don't worry about being near the Metro, Paris prides itself on the fact that where ever you are in the city you are never more than a short stroll to a metro station! But as advised already try walk the city as much as possible, it's a remarkable place.

Oh and if you can stay in the "16eme arrondissement" near Place du Trocadero, it's the area where the Eiffel Tower is situated, it's a bit more expensive but there is nothing better than waking up to a clear view of the Eiffel every morning!

    Ahhhhh /reminisces
