With the weather looking like it's turning for the worse, I was in a bit of a panic to capture some of the colour of Autumn.

I've been tempted to go out this morning to take a few shots since it's nice and clear but just finished a 12 hour shift so I got lazy. Nice pic btw peadar, I like it.

ach, mein eyes! It burns.... It's a decent shot, I'd just bump up the contrast and lower the saturation a smidgin.

Bit too bright on my monitor drop it down a few steps and it will look great.

My laptop isn't great for judging colour & brightness. :(

Aye, it does seem a tad over-saturated alright. It's a lovely shot though, and easily fixed. Nice one.

I really like this. There's something very warm about it. The one thing I would say is that it would probably look spectacular printed at least A3 if not A2. It's probably a little oversaturated but I wouldn't have said that much...

    Thanks for the comments.
There's two more on my flickr.
Might try to get some more taken but use my fifty this time.

It is lovely, just check out the yellow channel on your histogram because I think that's been clipped - bringing the saturation down a smidgen will give you more of the lovely vein detail in the bottom left of the whole thing. I think it'll look lovely on paper too :D

    Is this better?

It's darker, but you haven't brought back any of the detail, as far as i can see. Does it bother you though? If not, screw it :)

It bothers you & I'm afraid you'll ban me! :D

Ban you? Hehe. I like to feel the fear ;)

That second last one is lovely. So warm, just gorgeous. The last one is looking a little more green though, is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,547 ✭✭✭City-Exile

The second last one is a brown leaf. I corrected the WB & sharpness in DPP. Then I adjusted the levels & curves in PS.
The last one is a pale yellow leaf. I made all the adjustments in PS Camera RAW.
    Just trying out different things.

the original posted was a little too orange-y for me and tbh, nothing in it for me anyway, however I concur with elven, the second last one posted is great. something you would definitely hang on your wall. nice work - well done.

These are all really nice, or have the potential to be really nice :) Just goes to show how important a bit of post processing is in making a good shot great.

    Nice work.

    Took another one using daylight.
Not sure about it, but I've got two from the set that I'm happy with & might print off.
