Billy Morgan has announced that he will not be seeking to be reappointed as Cork Football Manager next season.

He stated that he could not manage under new rules introduced by the county board ( voted on by the clubs), that the managers would not be allowed to pick their own selectors.http://eveningecho.ie

There is no ouvious candidate in the running, Billy i think will be sadly missed :(

ya billy has served us well but i think going forward we needed new idea for d future as his short passing game he likes is being left behind, tony leahy is my choice for the new manager

Thanks for all the memories Billy but he was right, time to move on and get a new manager in with new ideas of playing the game. Short passing game is a dead duck for beating the top county(ies??). The removal of the right to pick the selectors may rule out other candidates though. I honestly believe we need an outside perspective, someone who has experience of managing other couties, how about Paidi O'Shea?

I'll take that as a joke, he hate's Cork, no Kerryman would ever manage Cork, there is no rush anyway with the new manager, with the players been on Strike and all that!

With him gone thats the end of Cork football for a couple of years anyway. What type of crap county board does not support its manager after 3 semi-finals in a row and an all Ireland final spot. The mind boggles.
