My friend recently changed digital subscriber and was left their Sky+HD box.Can an existing Sky Active customer activate a Sky+HD box?Do I need a Quad LMB? Can you activate the card in the box on the basic package? Thanks for your help. You just can't justify the price of HD,for only 12 HD channels.

Yes you can use the Hd box for the basic sky + features without upgrading your account, you will probably have to do a callback from the box and then ring sky to re-pair your existing sky card to the HD Box. You will need a quad LNB and a second feed ran if you wish to be able to record one channel whilst watching another channel.

With the single feed you can record whatever your watching.
