Pandora's battery is basically a fancy software modchip, its a one stop solution to mod and fix almost any PSP, fat or slim.
If you mod your PSP you can play your PS1 games on your PSP, use homebrew apps and other stuff which the mods don't like.

You have never heard of a modchip?
Never had a chipped PS1, PS2 or XBOX.
It usually a BIOS on a PCB that intercepts the original BIOS of console so that usually illegal stuff can be done to a console.

Never, what am i missing. This is my first console since a PS1 which i just used to play Worms when drunk and Gran Turismo when not.

    oh and BIOS/PCB what now??

Basically i am asking if my PSP is good enough. does all this modding pandoraing stuff do anything good for me? When can i get gran turisomo on the psp???

Its NOT a modchip!! Pandora's battery is an altered battery that puts the psp into service mode (as sony would do if you sent a broken one to them). When the psp is in service mode you can execute files from the memorystick (or magic memorystick as its called) which allows you to install custom firmware. Custom firmware then allows you to play emulators and ps1 games etc.

However, you will need to have official firmware 3.60 on the psp currently for this to work. If you have higher than 3.60 then you're out of luck. I suggest you read up a bit more on psp-hacks or maxconsole
