    anybody using one of these - any recommendations?

    PC World are selling the new Fuji S5800 for 240 which is seriously cheap - even cheaper than Ebay. http://tinyurl.com/2qog8d

    (and before everyone says "get an SLR" - I probably will eventually but times is tight and this seems a good compromise for now).

    Those Fujifilm cameras are very good. Well worth looking at, especially when budget is tight.

    Speaking as someone who owns both a Fuji bridge camera and a DSLR, I'd say go for it. You can't beat them for versatility and ease of use.
